The Intro Class provides an opportunity to experience what Pitching School is like. Pitchers and parents will learn the 5 fundamentals, what it takes to be a successful pitcher, and will get excited to begin this new journey as a leader on the field! Completing the intro class is required for new Pitching School students, even if private lessons or clinics have been taken by a Practice Pro coach. Just want to try pitching without joining? No problem, learn the 5 fundamentals with us just for fun!

FAQ About Intro Classes

May I come to the intro class if I don't plan on joining pitching school?
Yes! Absolutely. While we will be going over some of the structure of Pitching School, each class will cover pitching mechanics. Classes will be educational and fun for  beginners to advanced pitchers.

Is it mandatory to come if I am joining pitching school for the first time?
Yes

What should I bring?
Your mitt, spikes (if outdoors), and water.

Do I need to come if I've gotten lessons from Abby or Sarah but haven't come to pitching school?
Yes

What if I can't come to any intro classes because of my schedule?
Becoming a pitcher who has the potential to compete in high school and college takes an enormous time, financial, and emotional commitment.  Try as hard as you can to make one! If you can’t please email abby@practice-pro.com.

Are all intro classes the same?
Yes, we will cover the same material in each class.

What if I need to switch my intro class?
You can do so by emailing abby@practice-pro.com

What if we get rained out?
If the Oz Park location gets rained out the class will move to our indoor location at American Islamic College at 640 W. Irving Park Road in Chicago.

How much does it cost?
$50 per intro class. Classes are 75 minutes long.

Do I need to come and catch for my daughter?
Yes.  The main reason we ask parents to fully participate has to do with success.  We notice that the most accomplished pitchers are those that have parents who physically catch for them all the time. They are the ones who in between lessons say, "Emma, let's go have a catch." And Emma goes. From the third grade through college, we want to give parents and their daughters every opportunity to build a valuable bond and equal partnership.
